Downtown Slobozia is getting a makeover and a couple of statues are going to be placed there. Alongside that of conductor Ionel Perlea, completed several years ago, the Local Council is discussing what other county personalities should be honored there.
Although he is one of the few honorary citizens, perhaps one of the best known denizens of Slobozia at the international level, and has the support of the Cultural Committee, some of the decision-makers are still not convinced that Costică Acsinte should be included on the list of personalities to get statues.
This is why I am kindly asking you to write to them, at office@municipiulslobozia.ro if you think there should be a statue of Acsinte in downtown Slobozia.
